This event is a unique opportunity for organizations, community leaders, and healthcare providers to come together in a shared commitment to decreasing recidivism and enhancing health outcomes among the reentry population and resourcing themselves and their organization. The theme of the March 6 convening is Wellness. We will delve into the dual dimensions of health and wellness, addressing both the needs of the reentry population and the service providers supporting them.

Highlights:

  • Keynote Address: Join us for a keynote address by Dr. Ann Seide as she shares insights into the intersection of health and wellness in the reentry process. Dr. Seide is a Medical doctor with 25 years of experience working as a hospitalist and palliative care physician. Her expertise will shed light on evidence-based strategies, innovative approaches, and the importance of holistic well-being for both the reentry population and those supporting their journey.
  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with like-minded individuals, organizations, and community leaders passionate about creating a positive impact on the reentry population. Build meaningful relationships and partnerships that extend beyond the event.
  • Wellness Activity: Participate in wellness-focused workshops designed to promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of both the reentry population and service providers. Gain valuable insights into holistic approaches to health and wellness.
  • Sit in Council: Council is an age-old practice that involves bringing people together in a circle to bear witness and share authentically.
  • Insightful Discussions: Engage in thought-provoking conversations surrounding the pressing issues faced by individuals reentering society, and explore innovative solutions to address these challenges.
  • Lunch: Enjoy a delicious and catered lunch, providing an informal setting to connect with fellow attendees, speakers, and community leaders.

The Quarterly Convening serves as a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and resource-sharing, fostering a holistic approach to reentry support. It is one of 4 in-person and 4 virtual convenings a year. You can see the schedule of upcoming events here.
